How do I arrange for a live claims writing webinar?
It's as simple as A, B, C:
A) Call or e-mail me (garyblake725@gmail.com) to choose a date and time for your 90-minute webinar.
B) Send me typical writing samples, some of which may be reviewed during the webinar, and I'll send you the webinar handout materials along with the URL for joining the meeting and a phone number for our conference call.
C. We'll meet online for our webinar and you will have access to me for one month following the webinar to receive critiques of future writing samples.

are available for individuals and groups.
No special software required to participate in our webinars. Webinar
connection details provided on signup.
What makes your claims writing webinars unique?
They are unique in several ways:
First, you are being taught by someone who has reviewed thousands of claims letters, presented hundreds of writing seminars, and has published four books on writing.
Second, the class is live, customized to your needs, and tailored completely to the world of claims.
Third,
you have immediate instructor access. Following the webinar, you may
send me as many writing samples as you like and get a prompt critique.
What is The Claims Writer's Catalog?
"The
Claims Writer's Catalog", which I began ten years ago, features
many "packages" of specific claims materials: actual writing
samples, articles, colorful posters, and claims writing exercises.
You may view the Catalog on my Web site: www.writingworkshop.com.
What is "Gary Blake's Claims Writing Letter"?
Each month I send an online newsletter (E-zine) to claims leaders, executives, association members, and many others.
The Gary Blake's Claims Writing Letter e-zine covers many aspects of claims writing, offering tips, news briefs, actual writing samples, and exercises aimed at honing your writing skills.
It's free. You may subscribe online or by sending me an e-mail at garyblake725@gmail.com

Do you offer one-on-one training or train the trainer?
I offer both, and I also license my claims writing course to companies who are interested in offering training to many employees.
Do you offer editorial services?
Yes. First, there's the free follow-up to my seminars and webinars in which participants have access to for future critiques of their writing.
Second, I am available to do a thorough edit of a company's form letters or Best Practices guidelines.
Third, I can provide a department with a customized style guide that addresses matters of format, style, punctuation, grammar, misused and troublesome expressions, phrasing, abbreviations, capitalization and spelling. Each style guide is different, addressing a client's corporate culture.
How long have you been in business?
I
founded The Communication Workshop 25 years
ago and began specializing in claims writing about ten years ago. I
have presented writing seminars and webinars at more than 200 insurance
companies. There are two client lists on my web site: one lists insurance
clients, the other lists clients in a variety of industries, governmental
associations, and technical firms.
Do you teach seminars and webinars in "Effective Business Writing" as well as "Technical Writing for Engineers and Scientists"?
Yes, I teach both. There are descriptions of each class on my web site, Effective Business Writing and Technical Writing for Engineers and Scientists. Click HERE for a list of our available Seminars.
In
fact, one of my books The
Elements of Technical Writing
(Macmillan), has been in print for 15 years. Also, The
Elements of Business Writing (Macmillan), has been in print
